What a short term missions trip looks like at Shiloh

Your team, consisting from 4 - 15 individuals, help us make a life changing difference in children and youth’s lives for a week of camp. Weeks vary in duration from 4-6 days depending on the age group of camp. Camp weeks schedule can be found on our Summer Camp page. The team would be dispersed to help in different areas of the camp that may include: camp counselor, activity leader (horse, bike, basketball, pool, archery, recreation, arts and crafts), kitchen help, barn help or junior leader. It takes a lot of people to ensure we can run a week of camp safely and give every student who attends the greatest week of their life and an experience they won’t forget.

Application Process:

All members need to fill out:

  • Volunteer application form

  • Complete criminal record check

  • Complete Vulnerable Sectors check

  • Attend mandatory training on either June 10th or July 2nd

Cost:

If possible we would like to see each student raise enough funds to send one child to camp ($350) but a donation of any amount or an equipment drive (basketballs, bikes, etc) will go directly to helping kids come to camp and bless the organization.

Testimonial

“We bring a team of 8 to 10 teenagers to Shiloh for a week every summer to serve in different areas. Our teams get assigned to be junior counselors, different activity leaders, kitchen help and barn help. The teams always have an incredible week which is why we continue to go each year. It’s empowering for them to see how they get to use the gifts God had given them to directly pour into someone else’s life and see the immediate fruit of that. It’s also an incredible bonding experience for our youth going through the process of training to go to Shiloh and then the whole week experience of being out there. Lifelong friendships and mentorships are formed. So many individuals from the teams end up going back the next summer to serve on their own and a few have continued on to become staff. Very thankful to have this opportunity and for all that Shiloh does.”
